The Smoothness Of A Blow Dry Without The Daily Effort With Keratin Treatment London From Hairculture

What it is

The smoothness of a blow-dry, without the daily effort

A keratin blow dry is a semi-permanent smoothing treatment. It infuses keratin protein into the hair, then seals it in with heat to cut frizz, add shine and make styling far easier. It softens and relaxes your texture rather than removing it, so curls and waves still move, just calmer and frizz-free.

It is not a permanent straightener. Think of it as locking in your best blow-dry for weeks at a time.

01

Keratin is what hair is made of

Heat, colour and daily wear deplete it, which is what leaves hair dry, porous and frizz-prone.

02

The treatment puts it back

Keratin fills the porous gaps in the cuticle, creating a smooth, even surface around each strand.

03

Heat seals it in

A blow-dry and flat-iron lock the keratin in place, holding moisture in and humidity out, so frizz stays away.

Two ways to do it

Traditional or express

The difference comes down to how much smoothing you want and how long you want it to last. Here is how they compare.

Traditional

Full keratin blow dry

Approx. 2-3 hours in salon

  • Deeper, stronger smoothing
  • Best for thick, coarse or very frizzy hair
  • Lasts around 3-6 months with the right care
  • The bigger transformation

Choose this if you want maximum frizz control that lasts a season.

Express

Express keratin blow dry

Approx. 1-1.5 hours in salon

  • Lighter, softer smoothing
  • Quick enough for a lunch break or pre-event
  • Lasts around 4-6 weeks
  • Great first taste of keratin, or a top-up

Choose this if you want a fast refresh before an event or holiday.

Why people love it

What a keratin blow dry gives you

Frizz-free, rain or shine

Smooth hair that holds up in humidity, drizzle and after the gym.

Get your mornings back

Wash and go. Skip the straighteners and claw back time every single day.

Glossy, healthy shine

A glassy finish that catches the light and makes hair look its best.

Keeps its movement

Softens curl and coarseness without flattening it to dead-straight.

Protects your colour

Sealing the cuticle slows colour fade, so your Sassoon colour stays brighter for longer.

Less heat, less damage

Air-dry more often and the daily heat damage drops right down.

How the appointment works

1

Clarifying wash

We wash with a clarifying shampoo to lift product and buildup, so the keratin can absorb properly.

2

Keratin application

The solution is brushed through in fine sections, root to tip, kept off the scalp.

3

Develop

For a traditional treatment it’s left to penetrate. Express skips or shortens this step.

4

Blow-dry smooth

Hair is blow-dried to drive the keratin into the strand.

5

Seal with heat

Each section is pressed with a flat iron to lock the keratin in and create that glassy finish.

6

Style and go

Wear it sleek and straight, or with soft natural movement. It’s yours from that moment.

The finish

See it move

The real test of a keratin blow dry is how the hair falls and catches the light afterwards. That’s the part copy can’t do justice to.

Is it right for you?

Who it suits

Honest guidance, because the right treatment depends on your hair, not a one-size pitch.

A great fit if you have

  • Frizzy, unruly or hard-to-manage hair
  • Curly or wavy hair you want to calm, not remove
  • Coarse or thick hair that fights styling
  • Coloured or chemically treated hair
  • A routine you’d love to spend less time on

Worth a chat first if

  • Your hair is fine and you rely on natural volume – we can treat just the frizz-prone areas
  • You want pin-straight results – keratin smooths, it doesn’t fully straighten
  • You’re pregnant or breastfeeding – we’ll talk you through the options

Let’s match it to your hair

Every appointment is with Eva or Gabby, both Sassoon-trained. They’ll assess your hair and recommend the treatment that actually fits, before you commit.

Make it last

Looking after your blow dry

A keratin result fades fastest when it’s washed with the wrong shampoo. A few small habits keep it smooth for its full lifespan.

Wash gently, sulphate-free

Sulphates strip keratin fast. Switch to a gentle, SLS-free shampoo and conditioner.

Wash less, refresh between

Two to three washes a week is plenty. Stretch the days with a dry shampoo.

Always heat-protect

If you’re reaching for heat, shield the hair first to protect the seal.

Feed it weekly

A nourishing mask keeps the hair hydrated, soft and glossy between washes.

Smooth, shiny ends

A leave-in and a shine spray top up hydration and that glassy keratin finish.

A few simple habits

No products needed – just good practice to protect the result.

Silk pillowcase to cut friction

Avoid chlorine & salt water

No colour or bleach for a week after

All from the Hair Culture shop. We’ll point you to the right pairing for your hair on the day.

Good to know

Common questions

Is a keratin blow dry permanent?

No, it’s semi-permanent. It softens out gradually over weeks or months and returns to your natural texture, so there’s no harsh regrowth line.

Will it make my hair dead straight?

No. It smooths, relaxes texture and kills frizz while keeping natural movement. If you’re after pin-straight, we’d point you to a different service.

How long does it last?

A traditional treatment lasts around 3-6 months; an express lasts around 4-6 weeks. Aftercare makes a real difference to both.

How long is the appointment?

Roughly 2-3 hours for a traditional treatment and about 1-1.5 hours for an express. Exact timing depends on your hair length and thickness.

Can I colour my hair too?

Yes, colour beforehand or on the same plan, just not straight after. Keratin actually helps protect and prolong your colour.

Is it safe for all hair types?

Generally yes. Fine hair can lose a little volume, so we’ll talk through whether to treat the whole head or just the frizz-prone areas. A quick consultation sorts it.
