What it actually is
A fibre filler for tired, damaged hair
Hair botox has nothing to do with the injectable kind. It is a deep-conditioning treatment that works like a filler for your hair: a nutrient-rich formula floods each strand, fills the gaps and cracks left by damage, and seals the cuticle in a smoothing protective layer. The result is glass-like shine, less frizz and hair that feels stronger and easier to manage.
It repairs and smooths, but it does not permanently straighten. Your natural texture stays, just calmer and glossier, and as the treatment fades there is no harsh regrowth line, only a gentle return of frizz over a few months.
- 1Nourishing actives like keratin, collagen, amino acids, vitamins and oils penetrate the cuticle.
- 2They fill the damaged, porous areas along each strand, rebuilding smoothness.
- 3Heat seals the formula in, locking in shine and reducing frizz for months.
Why clients love it
What a hair botox treatment does for your hair
Deep repair
Fills the gaps in damaged, over-processed strands so hair feels stronger and looks healthier from root to tip.
Frizz under control
Smooths the cuticle and calms frizz and flyaways, so hair sits better and needs far less daily effort.
Glass-like shine
Restores the reflective, glossy finish that damage and heat styling strip away over time.
Soft and manageable
Hair feels silky and light, detangles easily and holds its movement without going flat or stiff.
Formaldehyde-free
A gentler option than traditional smoothing treatments, with no formaldehyde and no harsh straightening chemicals.
Keeps your texture
Curly, wavy or straight, your natural pattern stays. It reduces frizz and shrinkage without forcing hair straight.
What happens in the chair
Your treatment, step by step
01
Clarify
We start with a clarifying wash to lift residue and open the cuticle, giving the formula a clean base to work into.
02
Apply
The hair botox formula is worked through section by section, root to tip, and combed so every strand is evenly coated.
03
Absorb
The treatment is left to penetrate so the actives can settle deep into the damaged areas of each strand.
04
Seal and style
We rinse, blow-dry and seal with heat to lock everything in, then style so you leave with the full result.
The whole appointment takes one to two hours depending on your hair’s length and thickness. We always confirm the exact price with you before we begin.

Is it right for you
Who hair botox suits, and who should have a chat first
A great fit if
- Your hair is dry, dull, frizzy or damaged and needs repair and shine.
- You colour, bleach or heat-style and want to restore condition.
- You have curly or wavy hair and want less frizz and shrinkage without losing the curl.
- You want smoother, more manageable hair with less daily styling.
- You prefer a formaldehyde-free treatment.
Worth a chat first if
- Your main goal is permanent straightening. Hair botox smooths but does not straighten, so a keratin treatment may suit you better.
- Your hair is very brittle or badly over-processed. It may need a restorative course before botox.
- You are looking to fix hair thinning or hair loss. This is a conditioning treatment, not a solution for those.

Make it last
Aftercare that protects your results
Hair botox lasts longer when you look after it. The first few days matter most, and switching to a sulphate-free routine keeps the treatment from washing out early.
- Wait 48 to 72 hours before washing, so the formula can fully bind.
- Use a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulphates strip the treatment fastest.
- Wash two to three times a week rather than daily.
- Go easy on heat styling, and use heat protection when you do.
- Protect hair from chlorine, saltwater and strong sun.
- Book a top-up roughly every two to four months to keep the shine.

Good to know
Hair botox questions, answered
Is hair botox the same as real Botox?
No. There are no injections and no toxin involved. It is a deep-conditioning treatment named for the smoothing, rejuvenating effect, not for any link to the injectable kind.
Does hair botox straighten your hair?
No. It smooths the cuticle and reduces frizz, but it does not change your hair’s natural structure. Your curl or wave stays, just calmer and glossier. If you want lasting straightening, a keratin treatment is the better choice.
How long does hair botox last?
Usually two to four months, depending on your hair type and how you care for it. A sulphate-free routine and less frequent washing help it last longer.
How is it different from a keratin treatment?
Hair botox is about repair and conditioning. It fills and smooths damaged strands. A keratin treatment is about straightening and long-term frizz control. Both are formaldehyde-free with us. If you are unsure which suits you, book a consultation.
Is it safe for coloured or bleached hair?
Yes, it is generally well suited to coloured and chemically treated hair and can help restore condition. If your hair is very fragile or over-bleached, we may suggest a restorative plan first, which we will talk through at your appointment.
When can I wash my hair after the treatment?
Wait 48 to 72 hours before your first wash so the formula can fully settle into the hair. After that, use a sulphate-free shampoo to protect the result.
Can I have it on curly hair?
Yes. On curly and coily hair it reduces frizz and shrinkage and adds moisture and shine, while keeping your natural curl pattern.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?
Prices start from £100 and vary with length and thickness, up to around £200. The appointment takes one to two hours. We always confirm the exact price with you before we start.
